During this year, you will be given tasks and missions to complete, some will be solo, and others will be tag-team, but the ultimate goal will be to conquer your fears and detractors and come away with a victory.This victory will allow you to understand your relationship with God and your role in Judaism as a whole.It’s an awesome task, but I will be here acting as your Coach, Manager, and of course, Promoter.I have all the confidence in the world in you, so…
LLLLLLLet’s get Ready to Rumble!!!! Units of Study: Round 1—D’var Torah Wrestlers will grasp the importance of D’var Torah in Judaism and will develop new and innovative ways of creating them. Round 2—Tikun Olam Wrestlers will understand the important value of Tikun Olam and understand its relevance to them throughout their lives. Round 3—The Shoah Wrestlers will learn about the duty, as Jews, of Holocaust Education in order to honor the memory of those who perished and survived, as well as ensuring it never happens again. Round 4—God Wrestlers will grapple with the hard task of determining where God fits into their lives, taking a very close look at concepts such as:belief in God, Icons, comparative religions, and their direct relationship with God. Materials All wrestlers must bring their full outfits to the ring every day, this includes a 3-ring binder, with paper and a writing utensil.Your Journal books will be in class in order for you to work on in class.All other equipment will be provided by the WIF promoter (Mr. Gamson). Assessment Each round (Quarter/9-weeks) wrestlers will be assessed in the following areas: 1.Warm-Up Battle (Classwork/Homework)30% 2.Cage Match (Quizzes/Tests)20% 3.Title Bout(End of Round Project) 30% 4.No-Holds Barred (Journals)20%
